Singam 2 in trouble; has a Muslim baddie!

Just when people were coming out of Vishwaroopam's controversial episode, here is yet another film, which has irked Muslim groups! The film is none other than Surya's much-hyped Singam 2.

The buzz says that Singam 2 has a Muslim baddie fighting against Surya in the film. Indeed, the villain will be seen in the role of a pirate of Somalia. This has angered the Muslim groups for repeatedly showing a Muslim in the role of a thug.

In Vishwaroopam, Kamal Hassan was seen as an Indian RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) who fights against the terrorist of Afghanistan. However, understanding the present mood of the Muslim groups in Tamil Nadu, director Hari has reportedly agreed to chop some scenes which could be offensive.

Singam 2 is a sequel to superhit film Singam. The film stars Surya, Anushka Shetty and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. Vivek, Santhanam, Rahman, Mukesh Rishi, Vijayakumar, Nassar, Manorama, Janaki Sabesh, Srinivasan and others are in the supporting cast. The major part of the film is shot in South Africa and it is expected to hit the screens in May.

The movie is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja, and it has Devi Sri Prasad's music and Priyan's cinematography.
