The May month seems to have begun on a good note for Tamil film industry, as the films released today (May 1) are getting good response from Kollywood audience. While Ethir Neechal has got mixed reviews, Soodhu Kavvum is getting positive response from film-goers across the state.

Soodhu Kavvum is released without much hype. The only factor that made audience to await for the movie was Vijay Sethupathi, whose last three movies - Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Pizza, and Sundarapandian - became superhits.

The movie is directed by newcomer Nalan Kumarasamy. Soodhu Kavvum stars Vijay Sethupathi and Sanchita Shetty in the lead roles. It is a comedy-crime film with all the commercial ingredients with a fresh concept.

The first half of the film is excellent and it could be seen multiple times without getting bored and the second half is completely entertaining brilliant, according to the fans. As the film is getting good word-of-mouth, Soodhu Kavvum, which had a good occupancy for the morning show, is running packed house in the matinee shows and expected to have excellent occupancy in the evening shows.

Highlights

The highlights of the film is the story and the performance of Vijay Sethupathi and his co-stars. The climax of the film is being praised by audience and the different approach has taken people by storm.

Santosh Narayanan's background score is one of the highlights of the film. 'Come na come...', mama douser...' and 'Kasu panam...' songs are our pick from the album. Cinematographer Dinesh Krishnan's has done decent job.
