Surya
Sivakumar
is
one
of
the
few
actors
whose
movies
work
big
time
among
non-Tamil
audience.
Like
Rajinikanth,
Kamal
Hassan
and
Vikram,
the
actor
too
has
good
market
in
other
states.
Now,
the
Ghajini
star
seems
to
be
heading
towards
the
expansion
of
his
base
as
he
has
been
approached
to
act
in
a
prestigious
Malayalam
movie.
Reports
say
that
Surya
has
been
offered
to
play
a
key
role
in
forthcoming
Malayalam
movie
Kunjali-Marakkar.
The
forthcoming
movie
is
directed
by
Priyadarshan.
It
stars
superstars
Mohanlal
and
Mammootty
in
the
lead
roles.
While
the
former
plays
the
title
role,
the
latter
will
be
seen
in
the
role
of
a
warrior.
It
has
to
be
noted
that
Bollywood
diva
Kareena
Kapoor's
name
was
also
doing
rounds
to
play
the
female
lead
role
in
the
movie.
However,
sources
say
that
Surya
has
not
signed
the
project
on
the
dotted
line.
The
talks
are
on
and
the
news
on
the
same
is
expected
to
arrive
shortly.
The
multi-starrer
movie
is
likely
to
be
dubbed
in
Tamil
too.
Meanwhile,
Priyadarshan
has
admitted
that
an
offer
is
made
to
Surya.
"We
are
currently
busy
with
the
discussions," the
Times
of
India
quotes
the
director
as
saying.
