Surya's Singam 2 Completes 50 Days
Tamil superstar Surya starrer Singam 2, which was released on July 5 has successfully completed its theatrical run of 50 days.
Singam 2, is the sequel of Tamil's 2010 super hit Singam. After three years, tough cop Surya aka Duraisingam was back on the silver screen again.
The combo of director Hari and Surya was back with Singam 2 after three years. Initially, they have given remarkable hits in Kollywood, which made audience to have high expectation on the movie.
In Singam, Surya played a role of the village cop (Duraisingam), who rebels against the notorious Chennai underworld don and extortionist Mayil Vaganam (Prakash Raj). He will be having the biggest network in kidnapping, involving in harsh real estate activities all over the Tamil Nadu.
Singam ends with Surya taking the mission of undercover operation in his home town, Tuticorin, under the special interest of Chief Minister and Home Minister.
Singam 2 picks up the story line where Singam ends. Surya will be working as the NCC officer in a school and handling undercover operation in the other hand. Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek, Santhanam, Vijay Kumar and others was seen in the important roles.
Singam 2 received positive reviews from the critics, and Surya emerged as the one and only showman after its success.
