the
actor,

was

Born
as
Saravanan
Sivakumar,
he
became
famous
with
his
stage
name
Surya.
The
Tamil
actor
has
acted
in
34
films
since
1997.
He
made
his
debut
in
Nerukku
Neer
in
1997
with
Illayathalapathy
Vijay
and
became
a
full-time
hero
with
Sandhippoma,
which
was
released
in
the
year
1998.
He
got
a
major
break
through
Nandha,
which
was
released
in
the
year
2001
directed
by
Bala.
Surya
played
the
role
of
an
ex-convict,
who
is
very
attached
to
his
mother.
The
Ghajini
star
was
honoured

Best
Actor
Award
by
the
state
government
for
his
performance

the
movie.
Surya
was

1975
in
Coimbatore.
He
is
the
eldest
son
of
Tamil
versatile
actor
Sivakumar
and
married
to
Tamil
actress
Jyothika

2006.

children.

from
his

Surya

with
his
brother
Karthi,
