Vishwaroopam Release: A festive time for Kamal Hassan fans

Kamal Hassan's fans were never this upset in recent years (owing to Vishwaroopam's ban in the state!). What had hurt them the most is that the film was released in other parts of the nation after going through initial problems but not in Tamil Nadu. While some of the ardent fans visited neighbouring states Kerala and Karnataka to watch the film, few others eagerly waited for the film to hit the screens in Tamil Nadu itself without any other option.

The fans in Tamil Nadu waited for the release with bated breathe after the film got thumbs up from critics, and audience from other parts of India and world. However, after getting delayed for various issues for close to a month, the film is finally appearing before the Tamil Nadu audience today (February 7) and that has led to a festive atmosphere in the state.

Huge cut-outs and posters of Kamal Hassan are seen in front of many theatres throughout Tamil Nadu. Fans are leaving no stone unturned to show their love on the Universal Star.

Vishwaroopam is releasing in more than 500 screens and it is expected to reach 600 in the coming days. Their appears to be a huge demand for the tickets in every part of the state. Especially in Chennai, advance booking got massive response as tickets were sold in no time in many single screens and multiplexes. Theatre owners have hence increase the number of screens to meet the demand. It is the same case outside Chennai too, as the tickets for the next four days have been in huge demand.
