Actress Manorama Discharged

Manorama, who was admitted to hospital on March 30 following a severe chest pain, has been discharged from the hospital on Tuesday (April 8). The actress is doing good after undergoing angioplasty.

A relative of Manorama has confirmed the news and said that the actress responed well to the treatment. She underwent angioplasty and was kept in observation for over a week. The actress has returned to her home on Tuesday. The doctors have advised her to take bed rest for a couple of weeks.

"Doctors had performed angioplasty and she was kept under observation for over a week. She has recovered well. We took her home late last evening (Tuesday). She has been advised rest for a few more weeks," the relative told IANS.

Manorama, who is fondly called by the name 'Aachi' by her fans, complained of chest pain on March 30 and she was rushed to the private hospital. She suffered a cardiac arrest.

Manorama acted in over 750 Tamil films in five decades. She was seen in Surya starrer Tamil action film Singam 2 in the year 2013.
