Priyanka Slapped By Kalanjiyam; Actress Faints On Sets

Young actress Sri Priyanka seems to have had her first bad experience in films after being slapped by Kalanjiyam. The actress fainted on the sets and she was rushed to a hospital. This unfortunate incident happened in Sankaran Koil during the shooting of the forthcoming Tamil movie.

According to a report, Sri Priyanka and Kalanjiyam were part of a scene in which the latter has to slap the former. When the director-turned-actor performed the scene, the slap landed close to her ear and she lost consciousness. Before the actual sequence, they have tried to rehearse it and the result was almost the same.

Her father is worried man because his daughter dreamt of making it big in Kollywood and this incident will not help the cause. To add insult to the injury, neither the director nor anyone from the movie has visited her to check her condition.

On the other end, Kalanjiyam said, "We rehearsed the slapping scene but during the shoot, she mistimed the shot. Even I was shocked to find her so badly hurt."

Sri Priyanka's father is still not sure whether to file a complaint against the actor. He is also undecided on taking the issue to Directors' Council.

However, Vikraman, Directors' Union President, has said that these mishaps are common in shooting. But he will look into the issue if he gets a formal complaint.
