Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Gives Verbal Consent To Mani Ratnam's Project

The stage is set for the return of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The actress, who took a break after delivering a baby, is game to make a comeback with bang. The interesting part of the story is that she has chosen a Tamil movie. And once again it is Mani Ratnam, who has convinced her to accept the movie.

It was Mani Ratnam, who had introduced her to film industry. The maverick filmmaker had launched her in Tamil movie Iruvar way back in 1997. The film became a perfect platform for her to showcase her acting skills and the flick had won good appreciation from various quarters. This, indeed, had helped her to get good offers in Bollywood.

Like many actresses, who just takes South film industry as a stage to enter Bollywood and keep themselves busy in Hindi movies, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan did not say no to Kollywood. After her first Tamil movie, she returned again with Shankar's Jeans starring Prashanth. Two years later, when the actress was flooded with good offers in Bollywood, she ensured to act again in Kollywood flick Kandukondain Kandukondain starring Ajith Kumar and Mammootty.

But Endhiran got delayed and in the mean time, Mani Ratnam signed her for his bilingual movie Raavanan. It was also simultaneously made in Hindi as Raavan.

Her project with Mani Ratnam got released first before Shankar's Endhiran. Both the films earned her good name.

Now, once again, she is ready to impress Tamil audience, as she has reportedly given her consent to act in Mani Ratnam's untitled next movie.

Mani Ratnam's men had met last month and offered her the film. She is excited about the project and given green signal to the project.
