he
was
a

but
he

cared,

film

as
I
feel
there
can't
be
another
Nageswara
Rao," Balachander
told
IANS.

Balachander
was
awarded
Akkineni
Nageswara
Rao
(ANR)
National
Award
in
2010.
"I
will
cherish
that
moment
for
a
lifetime.
I
was
honoured
to
have
received
that
award
from
him.
I
sought
his
blessings
at
that
function," he
added.
Nageswara
passed
away
in
Hyderabad
on
Wednesday
(January
22)
after
battling
intestinal
cancer.
He
was
89.
The
whole
South
Indian
film
industries
have
expressed
its
sadness
over
the
death
of
the
Telugu
legend.
