CCL 4: Chennai Rhinos Loses To Kerala Strikers By 12 Runs
After a shocking tie against Karnataka Bulldozers last week, Chennai Rhinos has now lost a match in the fourth edition of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL 4). The team played its third match against Kerala Strikers and lost the game on Sunday (February 9).
Chennai Rhinos, which started their chase of 150 runs given by Kerala Strikers, could only score138 runs for the loss of 6 wickets by the end of 20 overs. The match was played at Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Kerala.
Kerala Strikers headed by actor Rajeev Pillai had won the toss and decided to bat first. It scored 150 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

His arrival brought a hope to Kerala Strikers, as he started his innings with bang. For the fourth wicket, he along with Nandakumar added 30 runs.

And Santosh Sleeba's entry gave a boost to the host team. Indeed, it unsettled Chennai Rhinos bowlers.

They put on 75-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Santosh Sleeba scored 32 runs from 28 balls and gave a good stand to Arun.

Arun scored brilliant 72 runs from only 39 balls. His knock made Kerala Stikers to put on a decent total.

Bharath and Vishnu got one wicket each and they gave 21 and 22 runs in their 4-over quota.

Chennai Rhinos started the innings on a confident note, as Vikranth gave a flying start to the team.

In the second over, Vikranth scored 22 runs in Rajeev Pillai's over. This put a lot of pressure on the host team.

On the other end, Vishal could not stand long, as he was out for one run from seven balls. Vishnu came first down.

Vikranth and Vishnu batted well and scored 59 runs for the second wicket. Vivek Gopan from Kerala Strikers gave a break for his team by getting Vishnu out.

Vikranth on the other end looked unstoppable. However, the lost of Vishnu gave a ray of hope for the hosting team.

And Kerala Strikers fought back well by getting wicket one after the other. After scoring 77 runs from 50 balls, Vikranth departed and put the visiting team under huge pressure.

However, no other batsmen showed courage, as wickets fell. In the end, Kerala Strikers managed to win the game by 12 runs.

Vivek Gopan was the pick of the bowlers. He got two crucial wickets in four overs, which cost only 24 runs.
