The primary objective for this mail is to ensure that entire Indian film fraternity (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Hindi) would be noted of his present condition and well wishers, fans and friends alike are aware of the status of his health at present. Herewith, I would like to officially state the status regarding him as below:
My father, cinematographer/director Shri Ashok Kumar Agarwal, one of the most renowned and respected technicians of the Indian Film industry has been suffering from health related issues for the past one month and is currently recuperating in ICU at SRM Hospital, Katankalathur, Chennai since the last 1 month. My father has worked in over 100 plus movies and is most known for his National Award for Best Cinematography for the 1980 tamil movie "Nenjathai Killathe". He has been the DOP for various movies including movies like:-

father
also
personally
wishes
to
state
that
he
is
very
close
to
his
friends
from
the
film
fraternity
and
it
has
always
been
his
first
family
for
the
last
3
decades.
