Gauthami-Kamal Hassan To Play Reel Life Couple Again?

Real life couple Gauthami and Kamal Hassan, the pair that had delivered a few hits in the past, is likely to team up again. The Tamil remake of Malayalam hit movie Drishyam could bring them together on-screen.

The buzz says that Gauthami, who has been working as costume designer in Kamal Hassan's recent movies, is returning to acting again. An offer has been made to her to play the role of the Universal Star's wife in the forthcoming Kollywood movie.

Reports say that efforts are being made to convince Gauthami to play the female lead role. Indeed, she is likely to take up the project. Earlier, it was said that Meena, who had played the female lead in original Drishyam, was approached to do the same role here. But it did not happen for some reasons. Kamal Hassan and Gauthami had worked together in movies like Nammavar, Kurithipunal, etc.

The Tamil version of Drishyam is directed by Jeetu Joseph himself. The movie will be set in Tirunelveli. The shooting will kick-start once Kamal Hassan completes his forthcoming movies Vishwaroopam 2 and Uttama Villain.
