After a long time, Rajinikanth is appearing in a television interview. The Tamil superstar has given an interview to Jaya TV and it is anchored by comedian Vivek, who has asked questions related to his personal life and his forthcoming Tamil film Kochadaiiyaan.

It was during the promotions of Endhiran - The Robot, Rajinikanth was last seen on small-screen. Sun TV had aired his interview in 2010. After almost four years, the Tamil actor is gracing a TV interview.

Sources from the channel say that Vivek interviewed Rajinikanth earlier today. It was filled with light moments in the beginning and the anchor asked some serious questions later on the show on Jaya TV, which has the satellite rights of the forthcoming film. But most of the questions were related to his upcoming movie Kochadaiiyaan.

Rajinikanth has spoken high on Kochadaiiyaan and requested fans not to underestimate the flick for being an animated film. However, sources add that the special show will be aired on April 14 for the Tamil New Year.

Kochadaiiyaan is likely to release on April 11. An official announcement on the same is expected to be made by the end of this month. Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Sarath Kumar, Aadhi, Shobana, Nassar and others are in the cast. Soundarya Ashwin has directed the film produced by Eros International.
