Jiiva Unhappy After Turning Down Madras

It is not an uncommon scenario in Kollywood where an actor/actress turns down an offer to do a movie and regrets for the same when the movie goes on to become a hit. The latest actor to join the never ending list is Jiiva who initially refused to take up Madras but is now upset for doing the same.

Jiiva who is waiting for his next release Yaan directed by Ravi K Chandran along with Thulasi nair was first approached by director Pa Ranjith but turned down the offer for reasons still unknown. Later when the script went to Karthi Sivakumar for opinion, he was so impressed with the script that he expressed interest to work on the same.

Karthi's Madras was released on September 26th, 2014 and went on to rake up a whopping 7.1 million in just three days. The movie which received positive responses from the audience is on the verge of becoming a Blockbuster which has left Jiiva unhappy for refusing the offer.

Now, what makes us wonder is why Jiiva refused to sign up for Madras despite the movie's strong script. Does he have any bigger plans? Well that is to be seen in the future. But for now, lets hope that his movie Yaan which is slated to release tomorrow does well at the Box-Office which would bring a smile on the actor's face.
