When Will Kamal Hassan's Drishyam Remake Kick Start?

Kamal Hassan, who is busy with his forthcoming Tamil movie Vishwaroopam 2, will start working on Drishyam remake in the second half of the year. The movie will be directed by Jeethu Joseph, the creator of the original Malayalam version.

Jeethu Joseph has said that Kamal Hassan expressed his wish to star in the Tamil remake. They will kick-start the shoot in the second half of the year. "Kamal sir has expressed interest to act in the Tamil remake of the film. We will start shooting from the second half of 2014. The rest of the cast and crew will be finalised soon," the IANS quoted the director as saying.

Sources say that Meena, who had played a key role in the movie, is likely to be signed to play the female lead in the forthcoming movie. It is a story of a man who will be contentedly living with his wife and two daughters. How he reacts when an unexpected misfortune hits his family.

Meanwhile, Drishyam is being remade in Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Venkatesh and Sripriya are starring in the Telugu version. Whereas, Ravichandran will be featuring in the Sandalwood version directed by P Vasu.
