Kasturi Raja Doesn't Want To Retire

By Ramchander

Director Kasturi Raja still feels that he is a newcomer in the film industry. Though his sons actor Dhanush and director Selvaraghavan are requesting him to retire, he is not taking their advice.

Speaking to the IANS, Kasturi Raja claimed that his sons want him to take a break and go on a holiday with his wife. But he believes that the time to retire has not come yet.

He said, "My sons want me to retire and go on a holiday with my wife. But I don't think it's time yet, I'm still a newcomer. I may have been discharged off my duties as a father, but not yet as a director."

Talking about the young talents, Kasturi Raja said that he is in awe of the young talent in Kollywood. He likes to work with them if possible.

He is getting ready for the release of his next movie Kaasu Panam Dhuttu, which is based on the life of shanty dwellers featuring children from the slums.

"These kids in the film don't have to be taught how to act. They have lived in the slums and they can literally live in the characters as well. After extensive research on the lives of slum-dwellers, I picked most of these kids," he added.

The film features Mithran, Suyesha Sawant and Sania in the lead roles.
