Lingaa: Interesting Facts Revealed At The Audio Launch!
At the Lingaa audio launch event, many interesting facts were revealed by almost everyone for each of them had many things to say about the film and of course about Superstar Rajinikanth. We have picked the most interesting facts revealed by Lingaa's team at the star studded audio launch event.
Vairamuthu praised Rajinikanth a lot and revealed how he carefully chose his words while jotting down the lyrics for the introduction song Oh Nanba, he said a lot has to be considered while writing the first song for any Rajinikanth starrer and Oh Nanba was no different, he has also said that a lot of inputs were given by Rajinikanth himself while working on the first song.
While veteran director S.P. Muthuraman congratulated Rajinikanth on his recent award, Lingaa director K.S. Ravikumar said the title Lingaa was actually registered by director Ameer but gave up on it after Ravikumar expressed his interest to use the title for a Rajinikanth starrer. After praising cameraman Ratnavelu for his non-stop work, he also added that Rajinikanth was very keen on releasing the film in 2014 and that he didn't want the film to be dragged for 2 more years.
Sonakshi Sinha sang a few lines of her favourite song and urged all fans to do the Lingaa dance. Comedian Santhanam's speech was humorous as always, he said, a photographer in Shimoga became rich as Rajinikanth would click photos with nearly 500-1000 fans everyday who would camp outside the hotel to get a glimpse of the Superstar.
Sivaji director Shankar said Lingaa will surpass the collections made by Enthiran and the only reason for that to happen would be Rajinikanth. Producer Rockline Venkatesh said that Lingaa would be a birthday gift to Rajinikanth and his fans confirming that the film would be released on Superstar's birthday.
AR Rahman, the hero of the event was not present at the ceremony due to his tight schedule but spoke to his fans through a video chat he said, one of the songs according to Rajinikanth was too youthful and hence had to be modified. Praising the entire Lingaa team, he said the movie has an epic feel and was really surprised when the entire shooting was finished in just 6 months. He also revealed that the song Mona Gasolina has a Latin American flavour and is a favourite to many back in his studio.
