Maverick
director
Mani
Ratnam
was
supposed
to
direct
Mahesh
Babu
earlier
for
a
historical
movie.
But
it
was
not
materialised
for
some
reason.
Now,
it
appears
like
the
time
has
come
for
them
to
join
hands.
Well,
the
buzz
says
that
they
are
joining
hands
finally
for
a
bilingual
movie.
In
the
recent
months,
there
were
lots
of
rumours
on
Mani
Ratnam's
next
movie.
Firstly,
it
was
speculated
that
the
the
director
would
be
teaming
up
with
Aamir
Khan
and
Kareena
Kapoor
for
a
bilingual
movie
(Hindi-Tamil)
titled
Lajjo.
There
were
also
rumours
that
he
was
planning
to
make
a
multilingual
film
(Tamil-Malayalam)
with
Fahadh.
However,
those
rumours
are
turning
false,
as
Mani
Ratnam
is
in
talks
with
Telugu
superstar
Mahesh
Babu.
Indeed,
they
have
finalised
a
script,
which
is
a
pucca
commercial
entertainer.
The
news
on
Mani
Ratnam
being
in
talks
with
Mahesh
Babu
has
been
confirmed
by
Namrita
Shirodkar,
the
wife
of
Mahesh
Babu.
But
she
claims
that
nothing
has
been
confirmed
yet.
Earlier,
Mani
Ratnam
had
roped
in
Mahesh
Babu
for
his
prestigious
movie
Ponniyin
Selvan.
The
actor
had
also
went
on
to
say
that
he
was
happy
to
sign
the
project
and
his
dream
of
working
with
the
legendary
director
was
coming
true.
But
due
to
the
financial
issues,
the
project
was
dropped.
