After
Aascar
Ravichandran
postponing
his
big
budget
movie
I
,
which
was
initially
termed
as
a
Diwali
release,
looks
like
the
latest
movie
to
join
the
list
is
none
other
than
Superstar
Rajinikanth's
Lingaa.
Yes,
according
to
some
reliable
sources
the
producer
and
other
prominent
members
from
team
Lingaa
are
in
talks
to
release
the
movie
on
December
25th
for
Christmas.
Lingaa
was
scheduled
to
be
released
on
December
12th
which
also
happens
to
be
Rajinikanth's
birthday.
But
sources
have
revealed
that
the
movie
still
has
some
extensive
CG
works
that
has
to
be
completed.
Though
the
post
production
works
of
the
movie
is
in
full
swing,
there
are
chances
that
the
movie
might
not
be
released
for
Superstar's
birthday,
an
insider
has
said.
Also
recently,
another
reliable
source
had
revealed
that
AR
Rahman
is
still
working
on
the
background
score
of
Lingaa
and
that
it
might
not
be
possible
to
send
the
movie
for
censor
certification
with
the
original
track.
The
think
tank
of
Lingaa
had
planned
to
send
the
movie
with
the
dummy
track
instead.
Meanwhile,
The
High
Court
has
postponed
the
decision
pertaining
to
the
defamation
case
against
Lingaa
which
was
filed
by
a
filmmaker
from
Madurai.
Though
the
verdict
is
not
expected
to
go
against
Lingaa
and
its
team,
there
are
a
few
jitters
in
the
camp
as
the
verdict
could
directly
affect
the
release
date
of
the
film.
Considering
all
these
facts,
looks
like
it
is
almost
safe
to
say
that
the
release
of
Rajinikanth's
magnum
opus
might
be
postponed
for
sure.
While
Christmas
could
be
the
next
best
option
to
release
the
movie,
there
are
good
chances
that
the
movie
might
not
be
released
this
year
at
all.
