Photos: Rajinikanth's Lingaa Movie Launch In Chamundi Hills, Mysore

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kollywood's forthcoming film Lingaa has started its shooting in Chamundi Hills, Mysore, Karnataka. The whole set of Lingaa's team has graced movie launch in the heritage capital of Karnataka, today, May 2, 2014.

Lingaa, directed by Tamil's maverick film maker KS Ravikumar will see Bollywood diva Sonakshi Sinha and South lass Anushka Shetty opposite Rajinikanth. Oscar Award winner music composer AR Rahman is scoring the music for the film, which is touted be an out and out action entertainer. Apart from the makers, the film launch event was graced by Hosuing Minister of Karnataka and Sandalwood's ace actor Rebel Star Ambareesh and his actress wife Sumalatha Ambareesh. Producer Rockline Venkatesh and Soorappa Babu also graced the pooja in Chamundi Hills.

It is said that the producer Rockline Venkatesh was very particular and purposely held the movie launch, today, as it is Akshaya Thritiya festival across India. First time in his career Rocky is producing Rajinikanth film, which has scheduled its shooting in Karnataka for few more days. Lingaa is the third combination of Rajinikanth with filmmaker Ravikumar. The combination of the duo was seen in earlier Tamil super-hit movies like Muthu (1995) and Padayappa (1999).
