Prostitution Racket: Sri Divya's Case Of Mistaken Identity

Telugu actress Divya Sri was arrested over prostitution allegations. She is not a familiar face and many are not aware of her identity in the industry. This created confusions in the media too as some web portals published their news reports with the photos of other actress. It was Tamil actress Sri Divya, who was in the receiving end for the blunder made by some news sites.

It was a clear case of mistaken identity. The actress was initially shocked but realised that media mistook her for Divya Sri. Hence, she has released a press release to clarify. Find below what she has said in her note.

"This is a humble request on behalf of actress Sri Divya. Before few days, a Telugu actress named Divya Sri was arrested in accordance to allegations of prostitution. However, some of the media channels, especially few online portals, mistook Sri Divya for Divya Sri and published her pictures in the news as well. Therefore, we humbly request you to avoid such confusions in the near future."

Sri Divya is known for her acting in Sivakarthikeyan's Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. Presently, she is now busy with Jeeva.
