Rajinikanth Rejects Venkanna, Goes After Lingaa!
Lingaa is touted to be the biggest Rajinikanth entertainer ever, considering the calibre of technicians worked and the level of expectations the movie has managed to manufacture. With less than a week to go for the movie to announce itself on the big screens all over the planet, the Lingaa fever isn't sparing anyone in India as well as overseas for it has become the talk of the town. So lets try and focus on the latest news on the alleged magnum opus.
In a recent interview, the director of Lingaa, KS Ravikumar has disclosed that he had actually suggested a different title for the film. According to him, he had finalized on a titled called 'Venkanna' but went on to say that the title did not manage to convince Superstar Rajinikanth enough to carry it for his film. After a couple of days, Rajinikanth himself had come up with the title Lingaa which also happened to be his grandson's name.
Only when they were about to register the title, had they discovered that the title was already registered by director Aamir of Paruthiveeran fame for a Dhanush starrer. But when KS Ravikumar revealed to him that Rajinikanth is keen to name his upcoming film as Lingaa, Aamir was more than happy to let go of his title.
Meanwhile, as we mentioned earlier, Lingaa fever is fast catching on among Rajinikanth fans and the rest literally. Yes literally, for people in Tamil Nadu are finding unique ways to miss their daily routine on December 12th to experience the Lingaa magic first day first show.
