Bollywood Actress Rekha Turns Down Vishal's Poojai

Director Hari wanted a popular name to play Vishal's mother in Poojai. He had set his eyes on Bollywood's yesteryear actress Rekha and approached her recently but she has turned down the offer.

Hari himself has confirmed the news and said that he wanted to cast Rekha in the role of Vishal's mother in Poojai. It required a few days callsheet of the yesteryear actress. But she refused to take up the Tamil flick because she is busy with other films.

"I wanted Rekha madam to play Vishal's mother. We wanted her to shoot with us for a few days but since she was extremely busy with prior commitments, we couldn't sign her on," said Hari. We have to note that Rekha is the daughter of Tamil iconic actor Gemini Ganeshan.

Meanwhile, Hari has find a suitable face for the key role. He has roped in Radhika Sarathkumar to play the role of Vishal's mother in Poojai.

Poojai is produced by Vishal himself and it has Shruti Hassan in the female lead role. Sathyaraj, Mukesh Tiwari, Jayaprakash, Soori, Prathap Pothen, Kausalya, Sithara, Renuka, Aishwarya and others are in te supporting cast. Andrea Jeremiah will be doing an item number in the forthcoming Tamil movie.
