Seeman
has
hit
back
at
the
fringe
groups,
which
expressed
its
unhappiness
over
him
for
not
raising
his
voice
against
Vijay's
Kaththi.
The
protesters
are
demanding
a
ban
on
the
Tamil
movie
for
collaborating
with
Lyca
Productions,
which,
for
them,
has
business
links
with
the
President
of
Sri
Lankan
government.
Seeman
has
now
raised
questions
over
the
timing
of
the
protests,
the
motive
behind
the
dharna
and
whether
the
ban
demand
by
the
fringe
groups
are
justified.
He
claims
that
he
has
participated
in
endless
protests
and
there
is
no
need
for
him
to
prove
his
credentials
to
such
groups.
He
says
that
Karuna
is
the
producer
of
the
movie
and
he
has
teamed
up
with
Lyca
for
monetary
reasons.
The
political
activist
adds
that
he
would
have
asked
Vijay,
AR
Murugadoss
and
Karuna
not
to
team
up
with
Lyca
if
the
project
was
in
the
initial
stages.
Now,
the
movie
is
heading
towards
completion
and
calling
for
a
ban
will
affect
all
the
people,
who
are
involved
in
the
making.
Seeman
says
that
if
Vijay
was
not
in
the
cast,
these
people
would
not
have
bothered
to
protest.
Vijay's
Kaththi
is
in
the
center
of
controversy.
The
movie
has
irked
several
Tamil
groups,
which
believe
that
the
investment
on
the
movie
has
been
made
by
the
close
aides
of
Mahinda
Rajapaksha,
the
Sri
Lankan
President.
The
people
of
the
state
are
angry
over
Rajapaksa's
alleged
role
in
human
rights
violations
against
Tamil
civilians
during
the
war
against
the
LTTE
in
the
island
nation.
Hence,
the
protests
are
being
held
by
several
groups
accusing
the
Kaththi
makers
of
having
links
with
the
Sri
Lankan
President.
