Shankar And Vijay To Join Hands Again?

At a recent award function, Vijay openly requested Shankar to direct him in a full fledged commercial entertainer on the lines of Shankar's previous films like Mudhalvan and Indian. Vijay said he is and will always be waiting for the director to call him to make a movie with him in the lead.

Now, it looks like Vijay's wish will soon turn true as Shankar might direct Vijay's 60th movie. Shankar currently is in talks with Rajinikanth to direct the Superstar in Enthiran 2 and is eagerly waiting for the Lingaa star to give his consent.

If everything works out as per plans, then Shankar and Rajinikanth will once again come together for Enthiran 2 but if the project doesn't take off then Shankar might well direct Vijay as per the Kaththi actor's wish.

It is to be noted that Shankar has already directed Vijay in Nanban, remake of 3 idiots, which was a huge success. Vijay fans will be hoping that they get to see their favourite star in a complete commercial entertainer for which the ace director Shankar wields the microphone.
