Shankar To Direct Rajinikanth And Aamir Khan In Robo 2?
Shankar is known for directing films with sheer brilliance and grandeur. His film Enthiran was considered as a huge leap from Indian cinema to get closer to the western films in terms of bringing in world class technology into our own films. It was also a massive box office winner apart from being a trend setter. After the success of Enthiran there were talks that Shankar will direct the sequel with Rajinikanth in the lead for the third time in Shankar's last 5 films. Also there were news doing rounds that Shankar was considering to rope in Bollywood star Aamir Khan as the main antagonist in the sequel.
Now according to the latest buzz, Aamir khan has given his nod to be an integral part of Robo 2 however, it is still not clear if its for the role of a baddie or for the role of a scientist in which Rajinikanth could be seen only as a machine. The news has created huge craze among fans across the country as the film could possibly bring two influential superstars of the country together on screen if the grapevine blossoms from just a bud to a big bright flower.
Interestingly, Shankar had first narrated the script of Enthiran (Robo) to Sharukh Khan before it landed in the hands of Rajinikanth after Sharukh rejected the script with sources alleging that he thought the script lacked logic. Aamir khan too is an actor who thinks a lot about selecting his scripts but gives everything to the character once he makes his mind up to feature in the film.
Enthiran 2 will most likely have AR Rahman as its music director as Shankar shares a good rapport with the Mozart of Madras. Other informations about the film have not scratched the surface yet including its technicians and other casting. The film is also expected to be a Tamil-Hindi bilingual and sources close to the development say that the sequel too will most likely have a top Bollywood actress as its leading lady.
