Sonakshi Sinha, who is entering Tamil movie with Rajinikanth's Lingaa, has wrapped up the first schedule of the shooting of the film. The opening phase was shot in and around Mysore and Mandya in Karnataka.
The news was offcially revealed by Sonakshi Sinha herself on Twitter. On the social networking site, she wrote, "A beautiful day as I wrap up the first sched for my first Tamil film #Lingaa with an amazing crew that made me feel right at home :)"
For many it came as a surprise, as the first schedule was finished in a quick time. It was just a 6-day schedule where some of the key portions have been shot. Lingaa was officially launched in Chamundi temple in Mysore on May 3. It was a low-key event attended by only the cast and crew along with Kannada actor Ambareesh.
Lingaa is directed by KS Ravikumar, who had earlier directed successful Rajinikanth films like Muthu and Padayappa. For the latest film, the filmmaker's former associate Pon Kumaran (Charulatha director) has written the screenplay. Along with Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Shetty is also playing the female lead in the film.
Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep has been approached to play an important role along with Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu. It is produced by leading Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh.
