Surya's Next Female Lead: Manju Warrier!

Manju Warrier is probably the most sought after actresses of South India. The actress, who has returned to acting recently, is being showered with loads of offers from not only from Mollywood but also from Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. The one big offer that has come her way is from Tamil films. Well, she has been approached to play the female lead opposite Surya, who is getting ready for the release of his biggie Anjaan.

She entered films with Malayalam movie Sakshyam and rose to stardom in a few years. But she bid goodbye to acting after marrying actor Dileep. As their relationship strained and heading towards divorce, she returned to films with How Old Are You, which became a superhit movie. Hence, offers are coming from all the film industries of South. Now, the 34-year-old has about 25 offers in her hands.

Manju Warrier has been approached for a movie, which is likely to be directed by Vikram Kumar. The director, who is basking in the success of his superhit Telugu movie Manam, approached her last month and he seems to have got a green signal for the movie. She has also given a nod to a Telugu movie starring Nani.

Straight Telugu Movie?

There is also buzz that Vikram Kumar and Surya have decided to make it a straight Telugu movie rather than Tamil flick. Since a long time, Surya has acted in straight Tamil movies, which were dubbed into Tollywood.

Long-Time Wish

It has been a long-time wish of Surya to act in a straight Telugu movie. Nonetheless, neither Surya nor the team members have revealed the details about the film.

On the other end, Manju Warrier's next movie is with Mohanlal and it is directed by Sathyan Anthikad.

Meanwhile, Surya is all set for his next release Anjaan, which will hit the screens on Independence Day. His next movie Mass is directed by Venkat Prabhu.
