Thiagarajan To Remake A Movie In 4 Languages!

Actor-director-producer Thiagarajan is elated after officially bagging the remake rights of Akshay Kumar starrer Special 26 to direct the movie in all 4 South Indian languages. He has also acquired the remake rights of Kangana Ranaut starrer Queen. But whether or not Queen will be remade in all 4 languages is unknown.

"This time, I grabbed the golden opportunity of remaking Special 26 in all four south Indian languages and I will have the honour of directing this mammoth movie in all four south Indian languages" Thiagarajan said in a statement.

He is particularly happy after having bagged the remake rights of Special 26 as the movie not only made its producers happy by raking in good amount of money at the box office, but it was also critically acclaimed.

The cast of the Tamil remake has been decided and sources say that Thiagarajan's son Prashanth will be playing the lead while Manoj Bajpai's role will be essayed by Prakash Raj. Satyaraj is also included in the star cast who will be seen playing the role portrayed by Anupam Kher in the original flick. Other actors who will be seen in the Tamil remake include Nasser, MS Bhaskar, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, Thulasi and Sayaji Shinde of Bharathi fame.

Ajit Andhare, chief operating officer of Viacom18 Motion Pictures has said "Special 26 is an intelligent entertainer. The film is based on true events which makes it universally appealing across languages. We're confident that our film will excite audiences in the South the same way that the original material did."
