Earlier
we
had
informed
that
there
was
a
complaint
lodged
against
actor
Vijay
Sethupathi
at
the
producer's
council
from
Studio
9
production
company
accusing
him
of
backing
out
of
a
movie
after
having
received
the
advance
for
the
same.
Studio
9
took
an
extreme
step
by
informing
everyone
that
the
production
company
will
be
closed
as
they
couldn't
make
up
for
the
losses
that
was
incurred
to
them
by
Vijay
Sethupathi.
The
press
release
statement
by
Studio
9
is
mentioned
below:
"As
u
all
know,
Studio
9
was
the
backbone
of
quality
movies
like
Salim,
Thanga
Meengal,
Idharkuthane
Aasaipattai
Balakumara,
Soodhu
Kavvum,
Paradesi,
etc.
We
have
Mahabalipuram,
Aaah
in
our
line
up.
Though
we
were
successful,
we
have
received
a
heavy
loss
because
of
Vijay
Sethupathi
who
agreed
to
make
a
movie
(Vasanthakumaran
)for
us
but
didn't.
He
has
even
taken
an
advance
payment
for
the
movie,
but
is
neither
giving
his
dates
nor
responding
properly
for
our
calls.
This
has
been
the
case
for
the
past
1.5
years.
We
have
helped
his
movies
Soodhu
Kavum
and
Idharkuthane
Aasaipatai
Balakumara
to
achieve
big
time.
And
what
he
is
doing
to
us
is
really
disheartening.
In
lieu
of
the
financial
loss
just
because
of
this
we
have
decided
to
stop
all
our
works
related
to
cinema.
Mahabalipuram
will
not
be
released.
And
all
other
productional
works
are
put
to
an
end.
We
QUIT."
Soon
after
this
news
went
viral,
Vijay
Sethupathi
was
contacted
and
many
questions
were
asked
regarding
the
project
he
had
walked
away
from.
Vijay
Sethupathi
has
in
return
said
that
he
has
informed
everything
to
the
South
Indian
Film
Artistes'
association
and
an
official
press
release
is
expected
soon
jointly
from
the
actors'
association
and
Studio
9.
He
also
has
added
that
the
truth
will
emerge
once
the
eminent
personalities
from
both
the
associations
have
a
meeting.
He
has
also
refused
to
speak
anything
about
the
ongoing
issue
till
the
meeting
comes
to
an
amicable
end.
