When Indira Gandhi Wrote A Letter To Comedian Vivek!

As we all know, 'Chinna Kalaivanar' Vivek celebrated his birthday yesterday, but he was not alone for many other prominent personalities too celebrated their birthdays along with him. It has to be mentioned that former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi too was born on 19th of November.

Vivek, recently had revealed a few interesting memories of his from his childhood days and one such information was how he received a letter from then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The story takes us back to roughly around 1967 when Vivek was in his 1st grade.

After learning that he shares his birthday with the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Vivek had written a letter to Indira Gandhi and the letter read, "Dear PM, my birthday your birthday same birthday, I wish you wish?"

Awe struck by a child's courage and his innocence, Indira Gandhi decided to write back to Vivek. The letter was written by Indira Gandhi herself and was not typed. She had wished him and had showered a lot of love and blessings.

The letter was sent to the collector's office and then the officials from collector's office had come to Vivek's house to deliver the special letter. Vivek, who had thought the officials had come to arrest him for his mischievous behaviour was caught hiding at his backyard by his mother who then told him about the letter he had received from Indira Gandhi.

What's interesting is that Vivek was equally shocked and surprised along with his mother as he had not expected a reply from the Prime Minister and his mother was not aware that he had written to the PM in the first place.
