It's
been
confirmed
now,
Ilayathalapathy
Vijay
has
given
his
nod
to
director
Bharathan
in
order
to
helm
his
upcoming
film,
Vijay
60.
Bharathan
had
previously
directed
Vijay
in
Azhagiya
Tamil
Magan
(ATM).
After
speculations
were
rife
that
many
directors
including
the
likes
of
SJ
Surya
and
Karthik
Subbaraj
might
direct
Vijay's
60th
film,
it
is
now
official
that
the
Puli
actor
has
given
his
consent
to
Bharathan.

"Yes
guys.
It
is
true.
Im
on
board
for
#Ilayathalapathy
#vj60
super
excited
for
the
racy
script.
I
thank
#vijay
sir
and
#bharathan
sir."
It
is
also
surmised
that
the
film
will
be
produced
by
Vijaya
Productions,
the
company
which
bankrolled
Thala
Ajith's
superhit
flick
Veeram.
The
film
is
likely
to
be
a
romantic
thriller,
much
like
ATM.
The
official
announcement
regarding
Vijay
60
might
happen
in
the
next
few
days,
said
sources
close
to
the
star
actor.
But
since
the
news
has
been
confirmed,
many
movie
lovers
feel
that
Vijay
might've
taken
yet
another
risk
after
Puli
as
director
Bharathan
might
not
be
as
safe
a
choice,
especially
when
more
accomplished
film-makers
were
ready
to
helm
Vijay
60.
