Celebrating Suriya And Jyothika: List Of Their Movies Together!
It is probably the first time when two separate films starring Jyothika(36 Vayadhinile) and Suriya(Masss) will be released in the same month. What's more, both these movies are produced by Suriya.
While 36 Vayadhinile was released on 15th of May 2015, Masss is all set to hit the screen this Friday(29th of May) which is a rare co-incident that doesn't happen often.
Celebrating Suriya and Jyothika's individual achievements in the field of cinema, we bring to you a list of movies in which the cute couple have appeared together.
Though the two have featured only in 7 movies together(one being a guest appearance from Suriya), their on screen chemistry were impeccable in all those movies.
Be it their first movie Poovellam Kettuppar or the last one Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Suriya's acting skills coupled with Jyothika's cute expressions were considered magical not so long ago.
In an attempt to relive those magical moments, we decided to come up with this article just before the release of Suriya's Masss.

Poovellam Kettuppar
As mentioned earlier, Poovellam Kettuppar was the first movie in which Suriya and Jyothika were seen together. Both were relatively new to Tamil film industry but had managed to deliver powerful performances. Despite good reviews, the film unfortunately tanked at the box office but it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Uyirile Kalanthathu
Suriya and Jyothika were back on the big screen the following year after Poovellam Kettuppar through Uyirile Kalanthathu. Starring Sivakumar, Radhika and Raghuvaran among others, the film was directed by K. R. Jaya and was released in the year 2000.
Kaaka Kaaka
Kaaka Kaaka was the first major hit as their previous two films together did not create much of an impact at the box office. It is believed that in the sets of this film, their relationship blossomed and that the star couple were considered as more than just friends.
Perazhagan
This movie not only handed Jyothika her first Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress, it also brought together the most envied couple back on the silver screen apart from becoming a huge box office success.
Maayavi
Portraying as herself in the film, Maayavi had Suriya playing a petty thief and Jyothika's fan. By the time Maayavi had hit the screens, Jyothika and Suriya's relationship were the talk of the town. Though they hadn't confirmed their relationship publicly, everyone knew that there was something cooking between these two stars.
June R
June R was directed by Revathy Varmha in the year 2006. The film had Jyothika, Kushboo, Saritha and Biju Menon in lead roles. Suriya played a cameo in the movie and the climax of the film includes Suriya's character falling in love with Jyothika's who would later go on to marry her.
Sillunu Oru Kaadhal
This is the last movie in which Jyothika and Suriya were seen together. By the time this movie had released, Suriya's love relationship with Jyothika was made public and the entire film industry were excited about the new love birds of Kollywood.
