Gautham Menon To Direct Kamal Haasan In The Sequel Of A 1994 Superhit Film?

According to the latest buzz, the producer of a 1994 superhit film is planning to rope in 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan to play the lead role in the movie's sequel. To be directed by Gautham Menon, this exciting project will be the continuation of Seevalaperi Pandi.

It is said that film-maker PG Srikanth approached Kamal Haasan, requesting him to play the title role which was earlier portrayed by Napoleon in the prequel.

Interestingly, it is also speculated that Gautham Menon might helm this film, should everything fall into place. If the project materializes, it will hand the Nadunisi Naaygal director his first opportunity to helm an out and out village based flick.

It is to be noted that Seevalaperi Pandi 2 might witness the second time collaboration of Kamal Haasan and Gautham Menon after Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and mark Kamal's first ever sequel in his long and illustrious career.

Directed by Prathap K Pothan, Seevalaperi Pandi narrates the adventures of a man who lived in the 60s at Seevalaperi village in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu.
