Highlights Of The Week: Sona's Complaint Against Venkat Prabhu, Khushboo's Threat To A Director!
Right, it's time for the weekly round up and we are more than excited to present you with this week's article as Kollywood witnessed some amazing events that defined it last week(20th of March to 26th).
It is only fitting to start off with the news that took everyone by surprise on a cold Monday morning. T Rajendar, who had earlier objected the idea of using his dialogues in the song 'Dandanakka' from the movie Romeo Juliet lost his patience, as he sent out legal notices.
Demanding a whopping 1 crore rupees for defaming his name, TR was in no mood for compromises even after the Romeo Juliet team had removed the part he took offence to.
If one had thought the week had started on a bad note, it was just the beginning as actress Sona had raised a complaint against Venkat Prabhu the very next day.
Sona, who was seen as Vadivel's wife in Kuselan, had alleged that she had paid Venkat Prabhu a sum of 1.5 crore rupees for directing a film under her home production.
When the Masss director failed to return her money after not being able to direct the movie, she had forwarded a formal complaint at the Producers' Council who then ordered Venkat to return her cash within May.
