Venkat
Prabhu
who
is
known
for
his
jovial
and
happy-go-lucky
nature,
often
brings
his
own
emotions
on
screen
through
his
movies.
Having
done
that
in
his
previous
five
films,
his
sixth
venture
Masss,
starring
Suriya
and
Nayantara
in
the
lead
is
avidly
expected
by
his
fans
and
movie
goers
alike.
Addressing
the
media
ahead
of
the
movie's
release(May
29th),
Venkat
Prabhu
was
at
his
usual
best
as
he
shared
lots
of
interesting
information
with
a
slice
of
humour
intertwined
with
pride.
Calling
himself
a
landmark
director
of
Tamil
cinema,
Venkat
brought
to
notice
how
his
films
have
been
special
for
some
prominent
personalities
of
Kollywood.
"Thala
Ajith's
50th
film,
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja's
100th
film
and
Selva
master's
100th
film
were
all
directed
by
me",
said
the
Mankatha
director
grinning
cheerfully.
Speaking
about
how
even
Masss
has
turned
out
to
be
an
important
film,
he
said,
"editor
Praveen's
50th
film
is
Masss,
also
cinematographer
RD
Rajashekar's
25th
film
happens
to
be
Masss,
guess
I
am
the
new
landmark
director
of
Tamil
cinema".
At
the
current
rate,
Venkat
Prabhu
might
end
up
as
the
director
responsible
for
most
number
of
individual
achievements
ever
in
Kollywood.
With
heroes
enjoying
all
the
cool
prefixes
before
their
names,
guess
it's
time
for
directors
to
come
up
with
their
own
names.
'Landmark
director'
Venkat
Prabhu
is
good
for
a
start.
