clarified
that
he
doesn't
own
the
Tamil
remake
rights
of
Malayalam
blockbuster
Premam,
which
was
rumoured
to
be
in
the
process
of
being
remade
with
actor
Vijay
Sethupathi.
According
to
reports,
Dhanush
was
set
to
remake
the
film
in
Tamil
with
Vijay
Sethupathi
under
his
home
banner,
Wunderbar
Films.
In
a
chat
with
his
fans
on
Twitter,
Dhanush
confirmed
that
he
doesn't
own
the
remake
rights
of
Premam.
It
was
also
speculated
that
Hansika
will
play
one
of
the
female
leads
in
the
Tamil
version
of
the
film.
But
since
Dhanush
has
confirmed
that
he
will
not
be
remaking
this
movie,
it
now
remains
to
be
seen
if
the
film
gets
a
Tamil
makeover.
Premam
has
Nivin
Pauly,
Madonna
Sebastian,
Sai
Pallavi
and
Anupama
Parameswaran
in
the
main
roles.
The
film
was
directed
by
Alphonse
Putharen
and
received
critical
acclaim
upon
its
release
apart
from
being
a
commercial
success.
On
the
acting
front,
Dhanush
will
start
working
on
his
yet-untitled
Tamil
project
with
director
Durai
Senthil
Kumar
next
week
in
Pollachi.
He
also
awaits
the
release
of
Thanga
Magan,
directed
by
Velraj.
