Kanchana 2 Vs OK Kanmani: First, Second And Third Day Box Office Collecions

Thanks to good reviews from critics as well as movie goers, both OK Kanmani and Kanchana 2 have already been declared hit and both the weekend releases are doing just fine at the box office.

While OK Kanmani received a very good opening in the capital city Chennai, Kanchana 2 went a step further to take a grand weekend opening.

According to trade sources, the first weekend collections of OK Kanmani in Chennai alone was 84.6 lakh rupees whereas Kanchana 2 had managed to rake in a whopping 1.31 crore rupees.

Although Kanchana 2 did better than the Mani Ratnam flick in Kerala and other states over the weekend, OK Kanmani scored big in the USA.

Including the premier shows, the first three day collections of OK Kanmani in the USA is an impressive $ 349,213 which amounts to 2.18 crore rupees.

And thus, the worldwide collections of OK Kanmani on its first day which is 8.7 crores, managed to go past Kanchana 2 which collected 7.5 crore rupees.

While both these movies have done well in India as well as overseas in its first three days, the real test begins now as it will be interesting to see which movie continues to do well throughout its first week.
