The
Kumbakonam
school
fire
accident
that
took
place
in
2004
is
one
of
the
biggest
disasters
in
the
history
of
Tamil
Nadu
which
snuffed
out
the
lives
of
94
innocent
kids.
Back
then,
60
Lakh
rupees
was
reportedly
generated
by
the
'Nadigar
Sangam'
(Actors'
Association)
in
order
to
help
the
grieving
parents
of
the
victims.
Shockingly,
after
11
years
since
the
tragedy
happened,
no
one
knows
what
happened
to
the
generous
contribution
of
the
'Nadigar
Sangam',
according
to
a
report
from
IndiaGlitz.
It
is
said
that
Inbaraj,
a
representative
of
a
welfare
group,
has
alleged
that
the
affected
families
are
yet
to
receive
the
donation
amount
of
60
Lakhs.
What
more,
he
has
also
requested
the
new
office-bearers
of
'Nadigar
Sangam'
to
investigate
into
the
matter
and
understandably
too
as
the
vanishing
act
of
a
sum
as
large
as
60
Lakh
rupees
is
quite
baffling.
Prominent
celebrities
like
Kamal
Haasan,
Rajinikanth,
Vijay,
Suriya
and
Vivekh
are
said
to
have
contributed
towards
the
amount
in
question.
It
is
to
be
seen
if
the
newly
formed
team
of
'Nadigar
Sangam'
takes
this
issue
into
consideration,
which
might
subsequently
help
many.
