Nayantara Signs Another Heroine-centric Film, This Time A Crime-thriller!

After proving her mettle in a solo role in Tamil horror-thriller Maya, actress Nayantara has bagged another heroine-centric film. This yet to be titled project will be produced by filmmaker A Sarkunam.

According to a statement issued by the makers, the film will be directed by Sarkunam's erstwhile assistant, Dass Ramaswamy and will go on the floors soon.

It will be a crime-thriller laced with comedy, the statement read.

With three back-to-back hits, Nayantara is currently the most sought after actress in the Southern film industry.

She will soon start working with actor Vikram in a yet-untitled project with director Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi fame. She also awaits the release of Simbu's romantic-drama Idhu Namma Aalu and Jiiva's village based flick, Thirunaal.

She is currently working in a film titled Kashmora, starring Karthi in the lead and is expected to join the sets of Vignesh Shivan's upcoming film.

In Telugu filmdom, she's all set to start working on a project with actor Venkatesh.
