Ilayathalapathy
Vijay's
Puli
overcame
its
first
major
test
yesterday
as
it
was
awarded
a
clean
'U'
certificate
by
the
censor
board
officials.
What
more,
the
fantasy
flick
seems
to
have
impressed
the
members
of
CBFC,
according
to
a
report.
Sharing
his
thoughts
to
Behindwoods,
Shibu
Thameens
has
told,
"Myself,
Shibu
Thameens
and
Chimbu
Deven
are
just
out
of
the
censor
office
and
we
are
immensely
happy
as
producers,
to
get
a
clean
'U'
certificate
with
minor
cuts.
The
censor
board
appreciated
our
VFX
work
and
mentioned
that
it
is
a
perfect
family
entertainer".
The
appreciation
Puli
has
received
from
the
selected
few
has
come
across
as
a
huge
relief
to
the
entire
team.
The
fact
that
the
censor
board
members
have
mentioned
about
the
film's
VFX
indicates
the
efforts
put
in
by
the
team
to
get
the
visual
effects
right.
It
is
to
be
noted
that
the
CG
and
VFX
works
of
Puli
were
done
in
several
studios
across
different
countries
like
Russia,
Ukraine,
Denmark,
Armenia,
Ireland
and
of
course
India.
Now
that
the
film
has
cleared
its
major
hurdle,
the
makers
should
look
to
release
the
much
anticipated
film
on
October
1st
as
expected.
Now
that
the
film
has
bagged
a
clean
'U',
it
should
be
eligible
for
tax
exemption
which
would
subsequently
save
a
lot
of
money
for
the
producers.
A
Minor
Cut
It
is
said
that
the
film
faced
just
a
minor
cut
with
no
mutes.
Indeed,
a
family
entertainer
is
on
the
cards.
Vijay's
Track
Record
In
the
recent
times,
all
Vijay
films
have
managed
to
clear
the
censor
board
with
'U' certificates.
Looks
like
Ilayathalapathy
Vijay
wants
it
that
way
so
that
people
of
all
ages
can
enjoy
his
movies.
Reservations
To
Start
Soon?
Some
of
the
theatres
in
Chennai
have
revealed
that
they
are
planning
to
start
the
reservations
soon.
Looks
like
the
film
will
be
released
on
October
1st
after
all.
Sudeep
Dubs
For
Himself
It
is
said
that
Kannada
star
Sudeep
has
dubbed
for
himself
in
Puli.
The
actor's
performance
as
well
as
dialogue
deliveries
were
appreciated
during
the
release
of
Naan
Ee.
