Actor
Siddharth,
who
visited
the
Cuddalore
district
to
offer
help,
has
confirmed
that
the
place
is
far
from
drowning,
as
claimed
by
many
on
social
media.
It
was
earlier
alleged
that
Cuddalore
is
the
worst
hit
area
in
the
whole
of
Tamil
Nadu
and
that
people
living
there
are
left
unattended.
"We
went
to
15
villages.
Many
of
these
were
described
as
drowning,
starving,
and
unserviced
on
social
media.
Not
true.
Do
not
comment
on
Cuddalore
from
outside.
There
are
places
that
are
struggling.
Do
not
confuse
relief
work.
Be
concerned.
Not
dramatic," Siddharth
wrote
on
his
social
media
page.
He
also
requested
volunteers
to
help
Cuddalore
by
sending
blankets
and
mosquito
coils.
"Send
bedding,
blankets,
and
mosquito
coil.
Send
smaller
trucks
that
can
go
on
kuchha
roads
and
identify
groups
that
are
addressing
the
hard
to
reach
hamlets.
Prioritize
small
villages
away
from
main
road
and
do
not
use
relief
labels
or
banners
on
trucks
as
they
will
be
attacked," he
said.
The
actor
is
also
vigorously
working
on
getting
Cuddalore
back
on
its
feet.
He
said,
"I
said
cuddalore
needs
help.
It's
just
not
the
disaster
zone
people
are
making
it
out
to
be.
We
have
an
action
plan
for
Cuddalore.
Let's
be
sensible,
efficient
and
realistic
about
how
to
help
the
people
of
#Cuddalore".
