Suriya Is The Biggest Tamil Hero In Telugu Industry: Mahesh Babu, Prabhas And Rana

It is a known fact that Suriya has a good market in the Telugu film industry but just how big is the star's stature in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana? Is he the biggest Tamil hero in Tollywood? Throwing light on these questions is a report from IndiaGlitz.

According to the report, actor Sathyaraj has said that from his experience of working with lots of stars from the Telugu film industry he has learnt that Suriya has a huge market in Tollywood.

He has further went on to state that prominent Telugu actors like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati have acknowledged the fact that Suriya is one Tamil actor who is always in demand in the Telugu industry.

It is also said that Suriya's films, whenever released in Telugu, enjoys a decent occupancy in theatres, for Suriya is much loved in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

This being the case, it should be interesting to see how Trivikram Srinivas' upcoming bilingual featuring Suriya is perceived by Telugu movie goers.

What should be even more interesting to see is how the movie fares at the box office both in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Suriya's true market value in Telugu might be determined based on the success of this said movie.

Rakta Charitra

Rakta Charitra is a two-part bilingual movie which was shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages. The movie is directed by Ram Gopal Varma and is a multi-starrer.

Veedokkade

Veedokkade is the dubbed version of Ayan. The film is based on smuggling and is directed by KV Anand. The movie was a box office success in Andhra Pradesh and was later dubbed in Hindi as Vidhwanshak: The Destroyer.

Surya s/o Krishnan

Vaaranam Aayiram was dubbed in Telugu as Surya s/o Krishnan. It is directed by Gautham Menon and has Suriya, Simran, Divya Spandana and Sameera Reddy in lead roles. The film won many awards including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.

Aaru

This film directed by Hari was dubbed in Telugu under the same title. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad and the film stars Suriya, Trisha, Vadivelu and Ashish Vidyarthi in prominent roles.
