Suriya's
upcoming
science
fiction
thriller,
24,
being
directed
by
Vikram
Kumar
of
Yavarum
Nalam
fame
will
not
hit
theatres
on
the
auspicious
day
of
Pongal
festival
next
year
as
reported
earlier.
The
much
awaited
flick
has
been
postponed,
thanks
to
its
extensive
CG
works.
The
latest
report
has
it
that
24
will
be
released
in
April
2016
(most
preferably
on
April
14th
which
marks
the
Tamil
New
Year).
The
culprit
behind
the
movie's
delay
is
said
to
be
its
time-consuming
CG
works.
The
team
headed
by
Vikram
Kumar
wants
to
make
sure
that
the
film
houses
some
high
quality
visual
effects
and
thus,
is
in
no
mood
to
leave
any
stone
unturned,
pertaining
to
the
movie's
graphics.
With
the
shooting
done
and
dusted,
the
post
production
works
have
already
begun
and
is
expected
to
go
on
until
March,
2016.
24
has
Suriya,
Samantha
and
Nithya
Menon
playing
the
lead
roles.
The
movie
will
receive
its
musical
contribution
from
AR
Rahman
and
the
album
is
expected
to
be
made
available
from
January,
next
year.
