Like
many
recent
movies
which
had
to
undergo
a
title
change
in
the
recent
past,
Suriya's
upcoming
film
Masss
too
has
faced
the
same
restriction,
thanks
to
the
tax
exemption
rules.
If
a
film
doesn't
have
a
Tamil
title
then
it
loses
its
eligibility
to
enjoy
tax
exemption
even
if
it
clears
the
Censor
Board
with
a
clean
'U'
certificate.
Hence,
revealing
that
Masss
had
to
be
rechristened,
Premji
Amaren
has
also
spilled
the
beans
about
Suriya's
character
name
in
the
upcoming
movie
and
the
meaning
of
'Masss',
in
context
with
the
film.
"Suriya's
character
name
in
the
film
is
Massilamani
and
he
will
be
called
as
Masss
by
the
locals
and
so
we
have
named
the
film,
Masss
Engira
Massilamani",
said
the
Goa
actor.
Interestingly,
Masss
Engira
Massilamani
is
the
first
movie
in
Venkat
Prabhu's
career
to
have
come
out
of
the
CBFC
chambers
with
a
clean
'U'.
All
his
previous
movies
were
either
given
a
U/A
or
A
certificates.
Looks
like
the
film
aims
at
wooing
family
audience
and
kids
as
promised
by
the
director
Venkat
Prabhu
even
before
the
project
went
on
floors.
Masss
Engira
Massilamani
has
Parthiban,
Samuthirakani,
Jayaram,
Pranitha
Subhash
in
prominent
roles.
It
also
houses
two
comedians
and
a
comedienne
in
Premji,
Karunas
and
Vidyullekha
Raman
respectively.
With
the
movie
all
set
to
hit
the
screen
this
Friday(29th
May
2015),
it'll
be
interesting
to
see
if
Masss
can
live
up
to
its
expectations.
