Living up to his 'king of opening' tag, Thala Ajith is already setting box office on fire in Chennai as his upcoming film Vedalam is setting records, well before its release date.

Set to swoop into thousands of screens worldwide on November 10th, Vedalam eventually turned out to become one of the most awaited Tamil flicks in the recent times, thanks to Ajith's popularity.

The film is sure living up to its reputation as advance bookings are in full swing in most of the parts of Tamil Nadu. When it comes to the capital city, response from fans and movie-goers are nothing short of overwhelming.

In Mayajaal alone, a whopping 36 shows have been reportedly sold out which is already a record opening for any non-solo release in the history of this famous entertainment center.

Though Mayajaal has already allocated 61 shows for this Ajith starrer, demands are on to increase the number of shows as all 61 shows might be sold out in the next two days.
