Thoongaavanam (Thoonga Vanam) Second Trailer Review: Generously Revealing!

The team of Thoongaavanam (Thoonga Vanam) sure know how to market their product as a second event is currently being held in Chennai in which the film's audio will be launched. Not to mention the second trailer which has been surfaced already.

The very elaborate 2 minute 42 second video starts with Kamal preparing breakfast for his son and the rest of the trailer too is intended at letting the audience know what the film is all about.

If the first trailer was generous enough in giving away the movie's basic plot, the latest one too does exactly that and much more which is a welcome move by the team and the film's editor.

The background score is quite fascinating, especially in the latter half of the trailer. For a music director like Ghibran, Thoongaavanam should pose a different challenge (one would think) as crime thriller is something he hasn't worked on before.

Having said that, the talented musician has managed to deliver the goods in both the trailers and he would've successfully explored a new genre if his music is as good as this throughout the film.

Asha Sarath of Papanasam fame might play Kamal Haasan's ex-wife in Thoongaavanam. The Uttama Villain star yet again showcases his habit of repeating the cast and crew.

Trisha

Looks like Trisha is playing a character with negative shades. The actress should relish this (what looks like a) meaty role in a Kamal Haasan starrer.

Madhu Shalini

Madhu Shalini of Avan Ivan fame gets a role as well. The actress is quite popular in the Telugu industry and her presence in the movie looks like a tactical move.
