With Mani Ratnam's O Kadhal Kanmani(OK Kanmani) and Raghava Lawrence's Kanchana 2 releasing this weekend(April 17th), movie buffs are expecting nothing short of brilliance from these two movies, this Friday.
So what can one expect from both these movies? Actually a lot. But before we head to that part, both OK Kanmani and Kanchana 2 are important movies for both its respective directors.
Raghava Lawrence, after tasting success in Muni and Muni 2: Kanchana, has his work cut out to dish out yet another successful film in the same genre, horror-comedy.
Whereas, Mani Ratnam on the other hand is trying to taste success at the box office as his latest release Kadal did not do as well as he would've liked it to.
To begin with, it looks like OK Kanmani will hold the edge over Kanchana 2 as technicians involved in the former are much bankable and for the simple reason that it is a Mani Ratnam's movie.
But much will depend on the early reviews and given the fact that Raghava Lawrence has the knack of attracting family audiences to theatres, we wouldn't be surprised if Kanchana 2 overtakes OK Kanmani in terms of collections.
Whether it is Kanchana 2 or OK Kanmani, both these movies have many things to watch out for.
