Top 10 Tamil Romantic-Comedy Movies Of Last Decade!
Last Friday(12th June) witnessed the release of two Tamil films belonging to the same genre, romantic-comedy. While it is rare to see two similar films release on the same day, it is even unwonted to realize that both the movies have done well at the box office.
Being a romantic-comedy, it wasn't surprising that both Romeo Juliet and Inimey Ippadithan had managed to create some buzz before its release. In fact rom-com's have been people's favorite for quite sometime now, not just here but throughout our planet.
So what is it with rom-com's that has managed to impress movie lovers all over the world for such a long time? Wasn't it a master stroke blending two hot genres into one which ultimately gave rise to romantic-comedy?
Yes, both romance and comedy hold a special place in our hearts and that's probably the only reason why we all love films which has a mixture of both these emotions or feelings.

Siva Manasula Sakthi(SMS)
Directed by M Rajesh, this movie is about how the lead pair, played by Jiiva and Anuya, fall in love with each other despite having tons of differences when it comes to their individual characters. Supported by Urvashi and Santhanam, Siva Manasula Sakthi is a fun riot all the way through.
Oru Kal Oru Kannadi(OKOK)
Yet again directed by Rajesh, OKOK is about how an average guy manages to woo a air hostess, played by Udhayanidhi Stalin and Hansika respectively. Once again Santhanam as the lead comedian, OKOK worked majorly because of its comedy sequences.
Mynaa
Though Mynaa has a tragic ending, the film is packed with rib tickling scenes and sensible romantic sequences. Directed by Prabhu Solomon in the year 2010, Mynaa is about a jail inmate who escapes prison in order to stop his lover's forced wedding.
Endrendrum Punnagai
Starring Jiiva, Trisha, Santhanam and Vinay, Endrendrum Punnagai is about three friends who decides not to get married. Eventually two of the three betray their friend by getting married, leaving the third alone.
Unnale Unnale
Unnale Unnale stars Vinay, Sadha and Tanisha Mukherjee in lead roles. The film is about a youngster who tries to revive his lost love in Australia, only to find love through another woman. It was directed by Jeeva.
Sillunu Oru Kaadhal
Sillunu Oru Kaadhal features Suriya, Jyothika, Bhumika Chawla, Santhanam and Vadivelu. The film revolves around a happily married couple when the wife, played by Jyothika, finds out that her husband, played by Suriya, was married to another girl, played by Bhumika.
Manmadan Ambu
Manmadan Ambu which literally means 'cupid's arrow' stars Kamal Haasan, Trisha and Madhavan in the lead. The movie is about a retired army man who takes on the job of spying a rich businessman's fiancée, only to fall in love with her.
Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai
Directed by Thiru, this movie deals with a rich guy who loves three women at a time in order to decide whom to marry as he prefers the best in whatever he gets. It stars Vishal, Neetu Chandra, Tanushree Dutta and Sarah-Jane Dias in the lead.
Goa
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, Goa has Jai, Vaibhav Reddy and Premji in the lead. It is about three friends who decides to fall in love and marry foreign nationals in order to escape from the constraints of their village.
Attakathi
Attakathi was directed by Pa Ranjith. The film which has Dinesh and Nandita in the lead is about how a college student gives up on girls after numerous failed attempts, only to fall in love again.
